The Drava River is one of the best-preserved lowland rivers in Europe. Our rural holiday home Villa Lipica is 15 km away. The part that flows through this part of the Podravina is one of the best-preserved parts of the entire course. It is the second longest river in Croatia. It springs in South Tyrol above Lake Dobiaco in Italy. Then it flows through Austria and Slovenia. Finally, after 725 km of flow, it flows into the Danube near Aljmaš.
It is the river Drava, after which Podravina got its name, that gives the whole region a characteristic atmosphere. The part we sail most often is unimpeded by dams and concrete banks, it flows freely and changes its course, creating backwaters and long gravel banks.
If you are interested in getting to know this pure and untouched nature, you can do so by riding in rubber canoes or canoes, which are available to our guests in cooperation with the municipality of Pitomača.
